Information

The Belgian Cup consists of a total of 7 rounds, with teams from the Second Division and lower-tier leagues participating from the sixth round and First Division teams joining from the seventh round; the seventh round, round of 16, quarter-finals, and final adopt a single-leg knockout format, where if the score is tied after 90 minutes, extra time is played, and if it remains tied after extra time, the winner is decided by a penalty shootout; the semi-finals adopt a two-legged home-and-away knockout format, where if the aggregate score is tied, the away goals rule is applied, and if they are still tied, extra time must be played to decide the winner, followed by a penalty shootout if it is still a draw after extra time; the final is held at a neutral venue, where if it is tied after 90 minutes, extra time is played until a penalty shootout determines the champion.
