Information
The Montenegrin First League operates on a home-and-away three-round robin format. Points are awarded as follows: 3 points for a win, 1 point for a draw, and no points for a loss. In the event of a tie in points, ranking is determined by goal difference. The team with the highest league standings wins the championship and also earns the right to participate in next season’s Champions League qualifying rounds; the second-place team will compete in next season’s Europa Conference League. The second-to-last and third-to-last placed teams will face the second and third-placed teams from the Second League to compete for qualification to next season’s Montenegrin First League, while the bottom team is relegated directly.
