Information

The Copa del Rey consists of a total of eight rounds, with all qualified teams except for the four clubs in the Spanish Super Cup entering from the first round; the first, second, third, and fourth rounds, as well as the quarter-finals, are all conducted as single-leg knockout matches, where if the score is tied after 90 minutes, extra time is played, and if it remains tied after extra time, the winner is decided by a penalty shootout; the semi-finals adopt a two-legged home-and-away knockout format, where if the aggregate score is tied, the away goals rule is applied, and if they are still tied, extra time must be played, followed by a penalty shootout if it is still a draw after extra time; the final is held at a neutral venue, where if it is tied after 90 minutes, extra time is played until a penalty shootout determines the champion.
